I think everyone is battling to comprehend how this works. I have attached two documents which you can download for easy reference but don't print as a huge document.
The HNA Apps on the phones have been updated, you might have to restart the app to get the updates. There is a very easy to use calculator which I have used to get the info below.
If I can give you a few examples using my handicap index. I am currently a 22 handicap at Randpark. Firethorn Blue ladies course is rated as 74.2/147 a par 72 layout which means that I will play off a 22. If I go and play at Wanderers, their ladies red course is a par 71 layout with a rating of 73.5/140 and I would play off a 21 there. If I played at Glenvista I would play off a 21 as their rating is 73.6/144 and a par 72 layout. So as you can see there is not a lot of difference between my handicap on the 2nd September and today.
We do know that Parkview has a problem as I would play off a 27 there!!!! It is being investigated.
