The GolfRSA team of Cole Stevens and Kaiyuree Moodley accompanied by manager Zethu Myeki have arrived back from the 3rd Youth Olympics but only the 2nd where golf was incorporated. Kaleigh Telfer of Bryanston Country Club was the first Gauteng and South African Junior golfer to represent South Africa in the Youth Olympics in 2014, she was just 16 years old. This year another two Gauteng golfers represented South Africa, Coles Stevens of Parkview and Kaiyuree Moodley of Bryanston. Zethu Myeki, Manager, is also a Gauteng golfer and plays out of Randpark.
In the junior girls competition, 31 girls competed from various countries. Kaiyuree finished in T22 place on +24 after carding rounds of 77,81,76. Grace Kim of Australia won the Gold medal on +1 with rounds of 71,69,71. In the junior boys competition, 31 boys took part and Cole Stevens finished in 21st place on +17 after carding rounds of 75,72,80. Karl Vilips of Australia won the Gold medal on -4 (69,68,69)
In the mixed Team event, Cole and Kaiyuree finished in T23 place on +15. Thailand won the Gold medal on -12.
